Blacknut is a cloud gaming service that is located in France. We designate Blacknut as an “Exclusive” cloud gaming service. They call themselves an “All inclusive” service similar to us. You can compare this service to Stadia or Luna. They offer a wide selection of over 500 games for the whole family.
So, the question is: How bad is the input lag on the service with your controller and mouse and keyboard? Well, we did some test on a popular FPS that was just release on the platform – Metro 2033 Redux.
I also have the gamepad input tracker from gamepad-tester.com as I have used before in the right-hand corner. Let see how Blacknut responds.
Blacknut Server Locations
First, here’s a little background on the Blacknut infrastructure. We don’t have the exact locations for all the Blacknut servers but the CMO of Blacknut told me directly that they have server location in Europe, North America, and parts of South Asia.
Controller Lag on Blacknut
Even though game quality isn’t the best on Blacknut, the input lag is actually pretty good. After you start playing, you will get a feel for how combat is and make your slight adjustments. The start of the second mission really highlights the how accurate you can be while shooting in the practice range. Take a look.
Mouse and Keyboard Lag on Blacknut
Mouse and keyboard lag has a similar response. I played the same practice range area using a mouse and keyboard. Have a look.
The results were the same if not better due to the precision of using a mouse.
Overview
This wraps up our review of input lag on Blacknut. Feel free to play any other FPS on Blacknut to get a similar response.
