Get ready to play your favorite Microsoft PC games on Boosteroid! Boosteroid customers will soon have access to Microsoft first party games along with Activision-Blizzard titles OFFICIALLY after Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision-Blizzard is complete. And that deal is looking more solid by the day.
What games will be available first?
Boosteroid will start onboarding all Microsoft publishers or its subsidiaries like Bethesda or 343 first. They said they have license to stream all games owned by Microsoft that exist on the market. They will have full game list for us very soon and I’ll share once I get it.
So when will we see the games on the platform?
Games should be available on the platform starting June 1st. Boosteroid will start with integrating games from the Steam platform first. Remember, Boosteroid had many Microsoft games in their library previously so that shouldn’t be a super long process.
They will also be integrating the Microsoft store as a game distributor and they mentioned the Xbox app which I believe have the same games as the Microsoft Store. Game Pass games work from the Microsoft Store so I don’t see the need for the Xbox app. We’ll have to see how that works.
They don’t plan on having a release schedule for the games. As of now, they are planning for all games to appear in the library on June 1st. Mark your calendars.
On a side note, Microsoft and Boosteroid will also be joining together in a humanitarian effort to help Ukraine during the war. Boosteroid has its R&D office in Ukraine and has been keeping it up and running since day one. Keep this in mind.
Overall, this is a great step for cloud gaming and the whole video games industry, as the titles millions of gamers have been waiting for this to come to the cloud for years will be widely available for everyone with almost any device close at hand.
Boosteroid is the biggest independent cloud gaming provider, with 18 points of presence globally and over 4 million users.
