Blacknut is a pick up n play cloud gaming platform based in Europe and is similar to Amazon Luna in service. If you have been keeping up with our Blacknut videos, you will know the performance and quality isn’t the best.
If there is one great thing that Blacknut has as a positive to the platform, is the amount of local multiplayer games it has available to play. Blacknut releases new games on their platform every couple of days and many of them are couch multiplayer games that you can play with your family and friends.
Many Local Multiplayer Games
Here is a montage of some of the multiplayer games we have played on Blacknut. Most of them are team based but there are plenty that competitive. Please note that online multiplayer is disabled.
Games that usually have the option to play online multiplayer like Sniper 3, has been removed altogether. So while on Blacknut, you will have to stick with local couch multiplayer for now.
In terms of gameplay quality, it’s basically the same with all the other games on the platform – poor and grainy but the controller lag is surprisingly minimal.
Multiplayer Verdict
So would I keep Blacknut for the multiplayer games? Once Blacknut improves their video quality, it actually might be a great option to be a favorite on family night. But until then, I’m not sure if it’s really worth it to play on a service with quality as poor as this. There is a lot of potential here but I cannot recommend Blacknut in this state. Inconsistent 720p video doesn’t cut it for me.
